Murder In The Ring

The stone cold mallet hit the rock solid stand filling the room with a loud cracking noise. All was silent. The judge then spook, “ Mr. Henry slick I sentence you to death for the murder of Thunder Arms Jackson. You will be put to death by means of the electric chair.
Mr. Henry Slick head dropped hitting the table in front of him as if he had lost all the muscles in his neck. Tears began to flow from the corner of his eyes as the to police carried him off through the back door. Now the evidence was very pleasing but there was this corner in my head that told me it wasn’t him. I new it must of been someone else that had a motive. Henry had no motive him to drive him into doing something like that. He had a wonderful loving family of two kids, a perfect job making more than enough to pay his bills and raise a family, and finally there was know money enveloped in the match. In that corner of my head I just new he was innocent. As I got up from my seat, in the corner of my eyes I saw a man fully dressed in a white tuxedo with a pink comers band and a pink handkerchief hanging out of his left side pocket. The man than stood up wiped the enormous amount o sweat that built up on his noes and casually walked out the door.
I then walked out the door trying to think what clue what evidence was left out. I decided to take some time off the private eye business so that I would look into this case personally. Infract I was even pretty sure I would work for Mr. Henry for free. I then thought what to do first. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks that man with the tuxedo, why was he dressed in tux. I raced through the hall onto the main road were I found the man he was stepping into a white mustang, but know that wasn’t him there was another man dressed exactly stepping into a green mini van, but know there was the same man stepping into a space wagon on the other side of the main road. How was I to follow? I decided just as a random choice to follow the main across the street. I rushed across the street dodging cars and by a god minute the car had left me standing there alone with know were to go. I then turned around to look at the other two cars only to find that both of them were empty and there owners were know were to be found.
I decided since I had known lead that I would go to the jail where they were keeping Henry to have a little chat with him. When I got there I went to arrange a talk with in a few minutes I heard a loud buzz and the doors opened revealing Henry. His head was still hanging low as ever and his eye was blood shot from all the crying. I told him how I was going to help him and how I believed him it wasn’t him. Henry looked confused and said,” Okay but I guess you are going to want to know the facts.”
“Correct,” I said sharply.
“ Okay here it goes. I was watching the match from seat B123 that is all the way on the second floor almost by the noose bleed section. I was watching the match contently when I heard a loud shoot from behind me before I could get and turn around I was hit over the head with something hard and knocked out. But in the corner of my eye though I saw a peculiar man placing a gun in my hand.”
“Did you remember what the man looked like or was wearing?” I questioned.
“Yes, Yes I did. This may sound funny but the man was wearing a white tuxedo with a pink comer band. OH yeah when I woke up the police started questioning me with all these question I didn’t know what to say.”
“Is that all/?” I asked.
“Yea.” He said as we were interrupted by the queried. As the quard was bring Henry through the door I heard him scream “ Bless you and thank you.”
I was shocked it must have been the man I saw in court I thought to my self. If only I knew where he went. I decided to call it a night. I went back to my house into my cousy bed finding the sandman coming to me very soon.
In the middle of the night around two-o clock in the morning I awoke to the sound of something scraping against my window. I began to sweat and my heart jumped up and down as if it was on a trampoline. The noise got stronger and stronger than I heard the voice of a man. It sounded like he was getting beat up. I jumped out of bed and grabbed my black Easton bat. I slowly approached the window by the side slowly slipping my hand behind the drape and all in a second I threw the drapes aside revealing the peculiar man in the tuxes. I gasped and jumped back from the shock. It was a stand of neither of us moved, then in an instant the man jotted down the way in which he came from. I followed closely running behind him only in my boxer and a shirt. I cool crisp New York air gave me a chill as the man took a sharp left down an alley. The man now was not running very straight and confident any more, practically stumbling over his own two feet. We were nearing the end of the ally and the exit was covered by a large chain link fence. The man was first two it the fence leaping and starting to climb when I reached the fence I leaped with all my might just catching the tip of his toes, but it was enough to bring him down. Not putting up much of a fight I was able to pin him and get his arms behind his back. Carefully I escorted him up to my room read him his rights and cuffed him to the fridge. I then slipped into a pair of short and brought him down to the station. He was kept there until May 01 1996 two days before the execution of? After explaining the whole thing to Mr.? Lawyer, the lawyer was able to get an appeal.
The case was going good Mr. Phinkle the lawyer was able to get the man to admit to the murder after a bit of questioning and Mr. Was granted his freedom.
After that I never saw again, I didn’t even get a thanks, but that’s what you get when you work in the Big Apple.
