MY LIFE AS A TIGER

Have you ever wondered how most people through out Asia relate their lives to? Believe it or not most people relate their lives to 12 animals. Each animal has a certain month, year and a personality, which is given to any one born in that year. All the animals are usually represented in a large circle. This whole belief is similar to a horoscope, in fact, it’s called the Chinese horoscope. Being born in May 16, 1986, I received the qualities of a strong, reckless tiger. Looking at all the traits of the tiger I’ve found that many of the traits apply to me, but yet a few of them don’t.
Taking a look at my life and comparing it to the characteristics of the tiger I noticed that I posses many of the traits. For instance, I’m very fortunate and live a great life. There are some people in this world that are starving and don’t have a place to live. I’m very fortunate to have a home, family, and food every day. Comparing my life to people in such poor places as Cambodia the mere education I have and the opportunity to receive this education is probably more than they’ll learn in a lifetime. Another trait that I posses is I’m generous. All my life I’ve been ready to give a helping to anyone in need. Not forgetting I spent two of the years of my life learning in boy scouts how to be helpful. Finally, I’m sincere. When I say something to you I really mean it. I’ve knocked over a pot before and when I said sorry I didn’t say just because I had to, I said sorry because I meant it. This is probably why you wouldn’t catch me as a dishonest salesman.
Although I posses many traits, there are quite a few that I don’t posses. One of these are tigers are supposed to be impatient. From my point of view I think I’m pretty patient. I’ve waited through hours of class lectures with out fidgeting or making a peep. When you think about, it most of my day is based on being patient, waiting for the bus, waiting for the end of classes, waiting for lunch, and waiting to go home. As tiger I’m supposed to be reckless. Conversely, what ever I do, I make sure what I’m getting into. This is the reason that I have never broken a bone or seriously hurt myself. When I want to do something daring like bungee jumping, I make sure I take all the safety precautions. Another features of the tiger are being unreasonable. On the other hand though I think I’m very reasonable. For starters I always listen to both sides and I don’t take sides until I’ve heard the whole story. Also when my friends have arguments I don’t take the side of the better friend or the closet friend, in fact I try not to take sides.
Not having a perfect life like most people there quite a few features of the tiger I would like to posses. Firstly, tigers are always supposed to give a hundred percent on everything they do. I for some reason find it hard to give a hundred percent on everything and only find myself giving a hundred percent only on things I find amusing. An example of this in a soccer game. When the team is playing good I’m giving all I got, but when were down and losing I find myself only giving half the effort. School is another worthy example, if I enjoy the class I give a hundred percent and vise versa. Another attribute I wouldn’t mind having is to have a more dynamic personality. I want to be able to adapt to different situations with ease and comfort. To be a more dynamic person is a immense goal of mine and I think it will help me do better in everything. Lastly I would want to be more articulate. I find when I’m talking I mumble a lot and speed talk. It really doesn’t matter to whom I’m talking to. As a result people sometimes don’t understand what I’m saying or get things wrong.
Looking at the traits of the tiger I’ve found that many of the traits apply to me but yet quite a few don’t. It is not hard to see that the Chinese horoscope may totally agree with your characteristic and your way of life or it may not. The Chinese Horoscope may also hold some of the goals and traits you want to have. You should take a try at they Chinese horoscope, and who knows maybe you’ll start believing in it to.
