These will be your last POWs for the year 1999.  They will require you to research, summarize, and organize your information into a newspaper format.  You will be creating a newspaper from a year in American history.  To this point, we have primarily studied from 1492 until 1840.  This week I will give each of you a time period for which to research.  You will then create a newspaper with 3 articles.  You will also be responsible for creating a heading for each article and including 2 pictures.  The SCORING SHEET is clearly outlined on the connected page.  For this assignment, you can choose to either create a newspaper using one of your computer applications, use original artwork and text, or create a web page using Netscape Composer (or another application).  However, for those of you choosing to do a web page, you will need to send your work to me as an attachment as well as print up a hard copy to be turned in to me on December 14, the due date.  As always, spread out your time.  With technology there are always bound to be accidents, so it is important that you start early in the week. I suggest you look for your information in your textbook or pages connected to the americanhistory.nu web page.
