Chinese Horoscope Essay

 

Most people today either are amused or are very serious about their
Chinese horoscope. My birthday falls under the year of the Ox. I have
discovered some qualities attributed to the Ox fit me. Unfortunately, I cannot say all of these traits suit me. On the other hand, I would like to gain some of these mannerisms to become a better person. Processing these thoughts in mind, I have realized I am more like an Ox than I originally thought.

One of these attributes I do possess is logical thought. Logical thought refers to

my math skills. I enjoy math and when I study a difficult math problem
I like to think it through completely. Also, when I am faced with a certain situation
during a computer game, such as in "Age of Empires", I try to plan out a strategy for a
certain obstacle must be faced. Strategies take effort while figuring them out. I guess I just like to use my brain. Each day I follow a certain methodical pattern just like the Ox. Everyday when I wake up in the morning I turn off the alarm clock and jump into the shower. I dress myself, eat breakfast, and go to school. When I come home from
school I have to set up my homework the same way or I will become unorganised.

 

An excellent trait I also possess is dependability$B)B(Bt least some
of the time. Usually, I make appropriate choices, however I tend to make the correct
choice before being pressured to do something wrong. When it comes to school I know my grades depend upon following instructions. I do my very best to keep
dependability as a common behavior.

Some of the Ox characteristics I am pleased I do not have. Just like
the Ox. Pulling a plow is not his favourite chore to achieve. The Ox must often
be one lonely animal having few friends. I am glad loneliness is not one of my
traits. I have many fantastic friends who I meet at school and during other activities. I
am also at the stage when my friends can be from either gender. It used to take creativity to like girls, and while I do not know if an Ox has creativity to hide, the Oxen horoscope certainly says they do.Actually, I like being creative. Creativity is probably why I like todo things in original ways. I like being unique. I also like to show my creativity through art. The Chinese also think the Ox does not know how to dress very well. However, I think I dress fine. I dress appropriate for my age, and I like how I dress. I have found out I definitely do not have all the traits of the typical Ox.

Even though I like being an Ox, I would like to rid myself of some of
the traits like resentment. Mostly everyone has at least one characteristic of their
Chinese horoscope which they would like to eliminate. I would like to remove certain
vegetables and large projects from my life. I do actually resent them at times. If all huge projects could be removed from my life, I would be grateful; I think they are a big pain, due to the stress they put on my shoulders. On the other hand I need to develop steadfastness. For example, during sports events when I am running while playing soccer and I know the other player will beat me to the ball. I should keep on running. In case he misses the ball. I also need to rid myself of habits like chewing on my fingernails which is a disgusting habit. Also, I need is to start thinking about college tuition, where I should go, and my major.

In retrospect I have realized I am more like the Ox then I originally

thought. A few of the aspects of being an Ox appeal to me. However,
some aspects do not appeal to me at all. Also, I possess certain attributes
of the Ox which I would like to improve or develop in order to grow beyond them. Overall my Chinese horoscope has made me look at myself in a different way. Now I know what I can work on in order to have a better future.
