Little Red Rover
"It's and hideous looking dog!"
shouted Anthony.
"No, it's a lovely dog!"
I replied. It seems like I'm getting deja vu
again. We keep having the same fight about who's dog is more
adorable.
As you can see, we both prefer our own dog. Anthony has a little
Jack-Russell, and I have a red and white dog, Rover. Rover is
the most
peculiar dog, he is the only dog I've ever seen with natural red and
white fur.
After the fight became tiresome,
Rover and I ran home, besides it was
getting dark. I walked into our house, and noticed the pizza
fragrance.
Home made cheese and pepperoni pizza awaited me on the table, with
a
nice cold glass of milk. After eating four pieces of pizza and
one
piece of garlic bread, I was stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey.
I did
my ordinary night stuff, and went to bed.
The next morning I woke
up bright and early because Rover started to
get lonesome in the kitchen, and he started to moan. I fixed
myself
some pancakes and Rover and I went to our favorite spot of all times,
our tree-house in the woods. The only other people who knew about
it
were my parents and Anthony, but they don't usually bother us,
especially at this time in the morning. We just sat up
in the
tree-house, and admired the setting. All of those green trees,
and
nothing else in sight, except behind us was a two lane road, with our
house on the other side. My mom wouldn't let us build the tree-house
to
far away because she wanted to keep and eye on us. Time flew
by like
the wind, and it was noon. Rover and I jumped out of the tree-house
and
started across the road, then backed up because there was a big truck
driving by. I need to learn to look both ways instead of only
one way.
I went inside the house
and few, my parents were still asleep. I sat
down in front of the TV until mom and dad woke up. Then I decided
to
go
for a walk, to the park. I headed out the door, and went back in.
I
had
forgot to get Rover. I headed out the door once again, and went
to the
park. Guess who I ran into, Anthony. Right away, he started
up an
feud, and I ran and tried to ignore him. He kept following me
and
bugging me. I turned around and headed for the tree-house, I
felt safe
there. When I arrived there, I noticed it had been partly torn
down,
probably by Anthony. I fixed it back up, it wasn't very hard,
and
relaxed in it once again today. It started to get dark, boy,
it was a
quick day.
The next morning our whole
house was up bright and early. Not because
of Rover, but because of church. We went to church every Sunday,
and
occasionally Saturday nights. After church we drove home and
dressed
into casual cloths. I got my back-pack out, then I remembered
it was
summer, we had no homework. School just ended last week.
I decided to
go too the park, hoping that Anthony wouldn't be there. He was.
He
started to chase me down the street, I was running to my tree house,
so
was Rover. Rover knew I was running there, and he ran faster
then we
could run. He didn't want to get criticized. I was watching
Rover
run,
to make sure he was going to the tree-house. I quickly glanced
behind
us to see if Anthony was still there, and he just stopped, terrified.
I
turned around, and noticed Rover on the ground, and a truck stopping.
Rover had been hit. I ran into the house and told my parents.
The
truck driver kindly gave us a ride to the vet, after all, he did hit
Rover. There were puddles next to my feet, they were made by
me. The
vet told us that Rover wouldn't make it, but they would do everything
they could. After a couple hours, I noticed Rover being carried
out of
the vet, to me. He was OK. My parents picked me up, they
didn't want
to stay at the vet, and drove me home. That evening, Anthony
came over
and apologized for every thing he had said and done. He even
promised
never to make fun of him again. That was the worst summer ever.
