We're now into our 12th week of school and the winter break will be upon us before we know it.  The class is running quite smoothly, and after a quarter of learning the classroom system and expectations, the children are ready for a great rest of the year.  Here are some of the activities we've accomplished over the last few weeks:

  • A great Halloween Party!  Thanks parents for your help!
  • Parent Conferences
  • Learning about Pictographs, Line Graphs, and Bar Graphs
  • Our first 10 letters of cursive
  • Triple digit addition and subtraction
  • Patterns in science - mobius strips and tones
  • The Aztecs discover Lake Texcoco
  • We made the Great Temple of Tenochtitlan
  • Started our new novels
  • Spelling - working on suffixes and long vowels
  • Classroom letter exchange with Mrs. Burnett
  • Country reports
  • Incredible Mini-Me's
  • Over 12,000 minutes/miles read - We're now in Algeria
  • Finished our swimming unit

 


 

 

  • Forumcities.com has been the latest casualty to the economic slump.  Subsequently, our message board is no longer up and running.  I'm currently looking for an alternative.
